For the price I found this a great value and convenient for an 8 year old. Fits a lot, and just grab the handle and roll it along. I found the little cross bands on the top a little annoying but I suppose it would be great for strapping down a big stuffed animal. This is actually perfect for the price. Great for adult also but I think it's sized best for kids.
