The Hammer console shifter is a direct-fit for all 1994-2004 Mustangs with a factory center console. This maybe the most comfortable and versatile shifter available for your Pony. The unique design of the shift handle easily fits all sizes of hands providing the appropriate wrist angle and feel when shifting. The multi-position lockout reluctor is spoon-shaped for easy operation in a multitude of grip positions and controls the reverse lockout feature, meeting NHRA/IHRA safety rules. Features a smooth positive ratchet action, which only allows you to shift one gear at a time, so you'll never have to worry about missing a gear from over-shifting. Other safety features include an illuminated gear position indicator. The result is a shifter that is perfect for all new generation vehicles and street rods where style is not just form, but function. Includes shifter, all necessary hardware, console plate, boot, shift handle and detailed instructions for an easy at home installation. Notes: Fits C4, AOD and AODE transmissions in 1994-2004 Mustang center consoles. The shifter re-uses the factory shift cable. C4 transmissions will require optional B&M installation kit# 81020.;

It will not fit a 94-95 mustang with a C4 swap from a manual T5. It will not bolt up to the transmission tunnel. I built some brackets to mount it but the original trim piece will not fit properly. Advertised to fit 94-95 mustang with C4. B&M tech support is terrible and light bulb lasted for 2 hours.

I have a 1995 Mustang GT with an AODE, installed exactly as instructions from B&M stated, adjusted cable a dozen times and cable seemed too short and would not consistently go into park, also would not shift 1-2, you had to shift it two or three times to get it to move up or down a gear. Purchased new cable and same issue. After a month I now have the shifter able to reliably go into park, reverse, neutral and drive. I bought it for looks mostly, and it is beautiful so I never returned it. I plan on installing a Hurst quarter stick to replace this and sell this one. Also I never was able to reach B&M, their customer service is lacking. Jegs is awesome, and I'm sure if I called them when I had these problems they would of sent me a new one or refunded my money, but I wanted to play with this shifter and see if I could solve the problem myself. Online forums point toward same issue I'm having, seems to be an issue with the detants of the shifter not matching up with aode/4r70w etc.
