Doesn't make me sick!
My nephrologist recommended Proferrin ES because I am anemic, but iron supplements make me very nauseated and I just can't tolerate them. When I was hospitalized last year for sepsis (among a few other reasons), I received iron infusions daily, which was absolutely one of the most horrible experiences of my life - it wasn't pretty (and I will leave it at that!) I've been taking Proferrin ES for over a month now, and I am very happy to say that I am tolerating it well! It does not make me sick at all - not even a little bit! I take one every other day, on an empty stomach, with a full glass of water (8oz.) You can take with food if needed, too. If my next set of labs don't show enough of an improvement, I will increase my dosage to daily. I'm so grateful to have found a lower-dosage iron supplement - it's made a big difference for me!
