This works as described. It is held together with philips screws so theoretically you could replace the battery when it gets old. Cordless can be very convenient when on the go. The auto-off 10 minute timer works, beeps as it shuts down. But for the most from a battery charge, turn it off when done. There is a charge state LED that goes red or green. The colored glue sticks are all full of sparkles, that was not clear in the product description. As a repair tool, having the colored glues is useful for making repairs that don't show much. Seems the colored sticks with glitter are for holiday or jewelry decorating. I may use it to tack down wires inside of devices when I am re-assembling them after a repair. And to fix cracked items fast. It is certainly freeing to go cordless with this tool. There is an instruction sheet included. The big A sells these glue sticks in packs of 100 to 200 in colors, sparkle colors and clear; for about 20cents per stick. So frequent use of this gun can be supported.

I was excited to get this cordless hot glue gun for some Christmas crafts I want to do. The gun itself is quite sturdy and there glue sticks were just as described . The stand works fine for me . the instructions are easy to read.
