With puppies its always wise to integrate the foods from either dry to wet or what works best for the pups. My pups really like this food,its moist but not wet. I can add to it and I used to add beef baby food but I have slowly removed it so now this is the Go-To food. I still use dry but I don't give bones.Strickly dog food. Great product. We've tried all of the top recommended dog foods - wet, dry, kibble, and various versions of each - but our dog has pretty much ignored them all. I thought that “The Farmer's Dog” might win her over. Perla seemed to enjoy it at first, but then began leaving most of it in her bowl at every meal. So, I canceled that subscription, and ordered “Ollie” instead. Perla appeared to enjoy a couple of their selections at first, and we continued with that subscription for a few months, until she began refusing even her favorite blend -- the chicken. We then bought a couple of bags of “FreshPet” chicken recipe from Walmart … SUCCESS! She also seemed to like the beef version. We started by mixing ”FreshPet” with “Ollie.” Eventually we realized she was eating around the subscription food and mostly eating the “FreshPet,” so we canceled “Ollie.” Perla is a little 7-1/2 year old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix. We usually feed her about three times a day, a third of a cup each meal, but if she wants more when her bowl is empty, she can have it. Between meals, Perla enjoys Dentastix and a little Pupperoni.
