Affordable gift to foster a young love of reading

I purchased the Hot Dots Jr. Princess Fairy Tales book as a Christmas gift for my two nieces. They are both obsessed with princesses, so they loved it! They are 2 and 3 years old and were both able to operate the interactive part of the book (being the wand and locating the dots in order to be read to.) They did have to be shown how to do so, but picked up on it quickly. These books kept their interest longer than their regular books. One of my nieces does not enjoy reading at all, so I was very happy to see this keep her interest. I can see them still being interested in these books up until Kindergarten or First grade. I do wish the mic would have come with batteries. We did have to run to the store to get some. But for the price and entertainment, can't beat it! I would 100% recommend this book! Great book to grow with! (Also, I am a kindergarten teacher and think this would be a great way to “hook” non readers into loving reading!) Can't wait to purchase more of these books for my family and my classroom!

Perfect for your Princess in Training

The princess "wand" pen is my daughters favorite part. She loves all the story books and how interactive they are. Not only does it help her work on her reading skills but it is also teaching her other stills like how to use the pen, problem solving, and the basics of how a story works. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with small children. It is one of my kids' favorite things to "play" with and its educational.
