I used this for my above-ground garden area. No weeds or grass come through and I can walk on it barefoot with no discomfort. This is my second purchase. The first one was purc I used as a play area for my 3 lbs. Chihuahua. Even with her tender, soft skin, she is comfortable laying on it too. It will eventually conform to the ground underneath.
