Being a “Pre-Owned Device” made the phone unusable

This phone just did not work. I could not make any phone calls or anything. When I would make or receive calls, it would let you hear the person on the line, but you couldn't be heard. When I called Straight Talk about it, they had me go into the Settings and try to “Add” the “Microphone” app to the “Phone” app's permissions, which it would not allow. Straight Talk said that there should have been a “ ” in one of the corners, and there was no button whatsoever to add permissions to the “Phone” app.
