The 4 LED's provide more than 48 Lumens and are concealed under the brim so the hat looks just like any other hat until you need to turn them on. Much help for older eyesight.

I can't get by without the handy "flashlight". My old eyes need all the help they can get. Looking for something in a dark drawer, just click on the light and I can find it. This is my 5th or 6th power cap. On one the light quit working but mostly I get them too dirty to wear to town so I need a clean one. I take the batteries out and wash them in the laundry but can't get them clean enough for a town cap.

Lights are bright for early morning dog walking

I first received the hat from my husband, who used it for late afternoon golfing. I took it from him so I could walk the dogs early in the morning. The range of light is more than enough to penetrate the woodlines in the back of the house. I was able to scare off quite a few animals (fox and deer) with the bright light. Highly recommend for those who have to do the early morning walk.
