We just received and assembled this gorgeous gold and black torchiere lamp- perfect for the mid-century/art deco theme of our beautiful finished basement with home theatre. We are in the process of designing the room and this lamp is a welcome addition to our home. It was packed with great care. It had no scratches, no dents, and looks just like the photo. There were no tools needed to assemble it. Be careful prior to screwing the pieces together (you need to carefully, slowly pull the wire from the base and make sure to keep it flat on the floor.) You must take your time when screwing the pieces together because the threads are very fine, so you need to line them up perfectly otherwise, it will be a problem. I recommend one person holds it straight while standing above the person who will then screw it together slowly and carefully. It has a good weighted bottom to sit on a carpet or floor- very sturdy. The cord is black (not clear) along with dimmer box. Styrofoam will break away and can get everywhere but if you are careful you can contain the mess. It does not come with a bulb- my wife and I used a 90 watt, LED that dims. I would highly recommend this lamp! I hope you love yours as much as we do ours.
