Good Value and Well Made

I didn’t want to pay to have the grill put together so I had it delivered to my home (free shipping). I figured it would be the usual poor instruction manual and missing parts that I seem to get with imported goods. I was shocked at how well done the instruction manual was! The diagrams make it fairly easy to figure out. This is a complicated item with a lot of parts so you do really have to be sure you’ve got it put together correctly. I did put a couple parts on backwards and have to re-do those but considering the complexity of the project, I’m happy with how it went. Another thing that shocked me - instead of all the bolts and nuts and washers etc. coming in bags and you having to lay them out to identify and count them, this came with a large blister pack with each category of hardware in its own spot and labeled. The labels corresponded perfectly with the instructions. I was further shocked when I turned over the blister pack and the back of the pkg. was again labeled and the sections were all perforated so it was super easy to select and open the part I needed. OH!!! And it came WITH the tools needed to put it together!! The entire package was packed well and each individual part was wrapped well. All parts and hardware were in the package. All pieces were well made, with no sharp edges and a good paint job. The grill has quite a few features that I really like but it’s made of sheet metal so I know the charcoal pan will need to be replaced in a few years. I’m ok with that because again, it has the features I wanted at a good price. I would recommend this grill. I am a retired (elderly lol) woman and I put it together by myself. But if you’re a person who doesn’t have much patience or ability to understand diagrams, you might want to pay to have it assembled.

Solid build but missing piece

My fiancé prefers charcoal and I propane, so this is the perfect grill for us. It took some time to put together, but once done it looks really nice. I have yet to use it however - we’re missing one of the pieces that goes in one of the handles to be able to screw it into the lid. Right now the propane side’s handle is just kind of dangling since we have now way to secure it. I tried contact Walmart’s customer support for help but they referred me to the manufacturer. I’m having trouble contacting RevoAce. Hopefully they see this and reach out soon. Other than that, super satisfied with the product/price. Would love to be able to update review to 5 stars once this gets corrected.

Cheap packaging

Arrived quickly via FedEx. Both ends of the box had been damaged and then taped over. Big heavy mother of a box! About 70%23. Took it all apart and laid the parts out on a table. Found five steel panels bent from shipping damage. Hence the title of the review! Box was double walled cardboard, but needed to be triple walled and have better packing. Nothing missing. Fasteners well organized in a labeled blister pack. That was nice. Supplied screw driver was OK, but the stamped sheet steel wrenches were not adequate. Too loose. Threw them away and used a good 10mm and a 6" adjustable to do the wrenching. FIVE steel panels in the box had been dented and misshapen from handling damage. Including both lids. Some dented a full inch from handling abuse. Luckily I'm a retired mechanic and have duck billed pliers and planishing hammers. Took about a half hour to beat stuff flat and square again. NO missing parts or fasteners. The diagrams in the manual are excellent! Well appreciated there. Just take it a step at a time and work your way thru the assembly process carefully. Realize the diagram shows the base box right side up in some pics and upside down in others. Keep it oriented to get all the bits on right. I found an outdoor camping table to build it on to be very helpful. One bigger issue is the burners for the gas side will not slip thru the holes in the heat shield to mate with the valves. Holes are too small. I may to take that out and make snips around each hole and then bend the flaps back to make the opening larger. I ran out of daylight after five hours on it, so I'll tackle that tomorrow to finish it. So, not a great grill. But nice capabilities for the cost. Good value if you don't mind some annoyances in the assembly. I believe it'll give me 3-5 years of good service.
