some of the best

theres 4 stages of popeye cartoons the first fleischer shorts ... the best then famous studios era which was the same cartoon again and again (and sexist to boot but it was the 50s ) this is the 3 rd age when it was the most true to the source material but also had scathing satire (see the supermarket short) the animations really cheap but the stories makes up for it but this is hard to find as all cartoon networks show is either the fleischer or famous studio shorts the 4th age is the hannah barbera saturday cartoons
