Hidden Delights
This is one of 8 Polly Pocket Hidden Hideout Compacts. I find that this series is more reminiscent of the vintage compacts, as they are very close in size to the squarer vintage compacts and the look and feel is quite nice. Each of these 8 has a ribbon motif on the outside with a symbol in the center to indicate the theme of the set. What may not be obvious in ad photos is that the top section acts a bit like a three-door advent calendar: three compartments are hidden behind cardboard partitions. Each compartment contains a single accessory, and reveals a play area. From top to bottom this series is almost the best of the rebooted Polly Pocket toy line. Almost? Only the Keepsake Collection and the Addams Family compacts surpass the Hidden Hideout toys. And that's pretty high praise given how amazing those sets are. These are older now, and getting less easy to find. So get these while you can. Get all 8. As a set they are must-haves for any lover of Magical Little Worlds - toys that, when opened up, teleport you away into a new magical little world!
