Cold is a major contributor to health problems for exotic birds, and providing warmth is the first step of avian experts and veterinarians. Thermostatically controlled, Thermo-Perch provides a safe, consistent source of warmth, stabilizing the bird’s environment. Made of sturdy scratch and bite-resistant plastic, it attaches easily to wire cages. Its irregular shape reduces foot cramps and pressure sores, providing orthopedic benefits. Always make sure your bird has access to alternate perches in their cage. Thermo-Perch should not regularly be the highest perch in the cage. Thermo perch- small
I got the small but it's quite large for my bird (Sun conure) but he seems very comfortable perching on it even at the widest part. The smooth plastic discourages him from chewing on it and I often find him floofed up on the perch when it connected on a cold day. I was worried that he wouldn't get used to it being in his cage but after a couple days and making it the highest perch in his cage he realized that it was his new favorite spot. My house is pretty drafty but this product has made me worry less about my bird being cold plus it's safe for me to cover the cage when it's covered for the night.
