GE GDT645SSNSS 24 Inch Stainless Steel Built In Fully Integrated Dishwasher

I've owned my GE Energy Star diswasher for several years and love it. It gets the water hot, doesn't flood, works with whatever I decide to use a detergent/soap. My dishes come out clean and spot free if I use a spot preventer (MidWest--lots of limestone). The only think I dislike is the owner's manual. It gives pages of instructions on how to install the machine and less than 1/2 a page on how to use it. I've hit a button wrong somewhere and it has activated what I think is a child safety lock. I can't get it to run! Given another hour or two I'll find the manual on-line again. This happened a couple of year ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy with the quality of this product. Our old one (Bosch) had several problems including a leak that led to floor damage. GE got it right to add leak protection. There are more features on it than what I use. Interior capacity is perfect for our two person hoiusehold. The racks are fixed so they don't collapse when putting dishes in it. You can choose how much run time for each cycle which was great. Did not have to find a manual to get this information. The cycles I use the most are the 1 hour (60 minutes) or the light cycle (56 minutes) to save on the cost of water and electricity. Lots of great features for a reasonable proce. The dishes always come out clean and free from spots. I also scrape our dishes before loading them to increase the longevity of this wonderful machine. The filter inside is so easy to clean. We purchased it from a local appliance store so we had them do the installation since it would need to fit under the counter. Best part it is so quiet. The one and only feature that I don't like are the bottle jets. I took out the bottle clips. The jets are bulky and hard to fit dishes or glasses over it. Hopefully next time GE will make it a removable feature.
