It helps immediately once you start chewing. My illness and need create dryness and dehydration so this helps a lot. Just like with any gum, the flavor goes away, but not too quickly. If your mouth is so dry and need immediate relief, this does help. I keep them at home, in my pocketbook and vehicle.

The best in reducing my long-haul COVID issues.

For my situation (long-haul oral Covid symptoms) I have suffered from dry mouth since 2021. (When I lost my taste and smell with my bout of Covid, I also developed pain and extremely dry mouth.)
