peace of mind, fast and easy
Pros: I appreciate that this hard drive has a backup system that you can use or you can just use it like any other hard drive space; plug in and save. In the past I used LaCie hard drives at home because I used them at work, but my work lost multiple drives to disk errors and at about the same time my home hard drive failed as well. My office was devastated because we lost time and money, I was devastated because I lost family photos. Neither work nor I have lost hard drives since switching to Western Digital (at work we use Mac exclusively but have both WD for Mac and WD studio drives). Cons: This drive uses USB 3.0 (compatibility with USB 2.0). I would like to have many more connection options to get maximum speed and use from a variety of different devices, some new/current devices and some older models.
