SAMSUNG HW-A50M 2.1 Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Audio

Let me start by saying since I am technologically challenged I waited for a friend of mine who's an audio engineer to come over and help me set this up. He did it in less than 5 minutes! Then he set it to the tv speakers which I'd have trouble doing. Before I got this I was using a very nice VIZIO soundbar with my tv but this new Samsung wireless soundbar with subwoofer blows that one in the dust! This thing is awesome and I love it! The subwoofer itself is well made, nice and sturdy and larger than I thought it'd be. The soundbar is thin and runs the length of my tv (34” length x 2” high) I've set it up on a hutch behind the tv so the sound comes from behind and above the tv. The subwoofer is behind the tv to the right and I'm blown away by the quality and clarity of the sound. The volume controls for the soundbar and subwoofer are side by side on the remote and very easy to use. The remote itself has a mute button, setting button, power button and a button for pairing it with blue tooth speakers if you should choose to do so. You can also set it for Dolby surround sound or a standard sound. I'm using the soundbar along with the tv speakers at the same time so I can mute the sound bar and still hear the tv on a lower setting if i have any interruptions. The set also includes parts to mount the soundbar on a wall if you choose. All in all, it's a great set and I absolutely love it. This also comes in higher channels than my 2.1 soundbar. I believe they go up to 4.1 channel. I'm in my early 50's and enjoy listening to hard rock and alternative music with this as well as watching movies. The movies sound great in surround sound. Every detail with a lot more clarity is heard. If anything, I wish the remote was a bit thicker. It's rather thin and hard for my old hands to hold, lol. The batteries are included for the remote though. Y'all need to get this soundbar. You won't be sorry!

This sound bar and subwoofer delivers crisp, clear, theater-like sound in my home. Some things I'd like to comment about it: The packaging was somewhat awkward to carry, but I'm glad space was saved as otherwise I'm sure it would be to be packed in a very large box. The on-off display was good.  Easy to see it was on and what input was set to.  Also, the display went off so as not to detract from the view of the TV. Comparing to another high-end brand of soundbar that I own, the Samsung was equivalent and possibly better since the bass and treble could be easily adjusted. In the instructions, it would help to explain that the woofer button on the remote quickly adjusts the bass level.  Perhaps a description of each button and its symbol would help.  Also, explain the best way to slide open the remote to insert batteries.  I couldn't easily slide it using pressure on the symbol, but had to use a small blade to slightly pry (to slide) the  removable part of the case from the infra-red end of the remote. The source or input button on the remote made it easy to switch from one input to another, in case you have more than one source to monitor back and forth.  Switching from Bluetooth to Digital In was effortless. Bluetooth pairing of the sub-woofer was automatic and seamless in my case. The sound of Pandora playing from my Samsung A50 to the Samsung Sound Bar was very good. Overall, I'm really impressed with this speaker and feel like it will really add an immersive, theater-like experience to my home.
