Oh, yes, they're battery charged. One of the reasons I ordered these products is that I have four recharge batteries that can be used with these products; so, I never run out of a charge.

Does a great job
This is oh so nice to use without dragging a cord around. The battery lasts a good 1/2 or more but having the 2 batteries, keeping the spare charged, too, makes it a no problem for me. It's lightweight, does a great job, and I already bought some extra string spools so I'm good for another couple seasons.
