my mom who is 84 and bedridden had just received a new 42 inch LG for Christmas from my sister.... so my Christmas present was to go up and mount it on the wall of her bedroom and this amount actually enabled me to make it like she wanted it ..which was placed to the corner work perfectly stable enough for her needs absolutely wonderful but if you have kids, since it only hangs on the mount , you might look at something else

Overall we are EXTREMELY PLEASED with this mount for our 47" Vizio TV. It's heavy duty, built solid and even better than we expected. The bracket on the wall is streamlined and not clunky looking at all. Swing arm mechanism is very smooth and stays in place. We also own the Sanus and LevelMount brands and this mount by far is our favorite. The directions could be a bit clearer. I recommend reading through them completely and "rehearsing" how to assemble before getting started. Then there are no surprises along the way and you can be sure to have all the necessary tools ready to go. Also, we made a paper template of our TV and it's mounting holes to aid in making the final placement decision. Ended up mounting to one stud exactly in the center with the supplied lag bolts and then used heavy duty anchors at each corner of the bracket. It's not gong anywhere!
