Fast, discreet & low power consumption

Network devices always seem to be 2 ports shy of a full deck. Swapping cables to a different device live upsets Windows discovery & before you know it, a half hour is wasted rebooting everything to get the network back up. This switch is perfect for my home network... ...fast enough for external hard drives & enough ports for printers, scanners, hubs, etc. There's no provision on the web page to choose black or white. I got a white one by chance; it's what I wanted. Yeah! (way too many little black boxes around here.) The LEDs on the front indicate what's active, what's not & don't add to the laboratory style blinking light show when the room lights are off. Bottom line... ...it's efficient, benign on the senses & to top it off, inexpensive. For hardware, that's a great deal.

Plenty of ports for the price

For this price, don't ever come up port-short again. I've had this a week now, and it has been working just fine. I have it set up next to my home router, and it is much easier to plug/unplug things in this switch than it is to disturb the router.

Works great, no setup, and I get a Gig per port

I know that sounds like a no brainer, but after going to a fiber provider I found out that my router's Gig ports needed beta firmware (all good now). But, no issues at all with the switch. It worked great right out the box.
