[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love having the APC Back UPS 1000 for peace of mind and I already feel more secure knowing my devices are protected. Even though I haven't had to rely on it during a power outage yet, the idea behind this product is exactly what I wanted. It is built to keep computers, routers, and other electronics running smoothly if the power goes out and the automatic voltage regulation gives me confidence that my devices are protected from surges and fluctuations. The LCD display is a huge plus because it makes it easy to see battery levels and connected load at a glance. I also like that it comes with PowerChute software to help with automatic PC shutdown if there is an extended outage. Having eight outlets is very convenient and gives me plenty of space for my setup. The alarms and status notifications are thoughtful features and I appreciate that they can be muted if needed. One downside is that it is heavy, but that also makes it feel solid and reliable. For the level of protection it offers, I think the weight is worth it. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and feel confident that when I do need it, it will perform exactly as promised.
