Perdue Harvestland, Free Range, Fresh Whole Chicken with Giblets, 4-6.2 lbs.

We purchased several of these fresh birds to donate to the Church food drive. They are impressive and meaty. We dislike the giant chickens and these are not like those on steroids. The meat was tender from the one we kept and prepared for Thanksgiving. Juicy and flavorful and tastes like chicken and nothing else. Thank you. Oh, we roasted it with dressing and it was magical!

I bake the whole chicken in the oven, freeze some of the meat, and make bone broth from the bones. I don't season my meats until I eat them as I am mostly eating carnivore. If baked for the right amount of time, this chicken is juicy and delicious. I try to eat pasture-raised and/or grass fed organic meats so this fits the bill! I also take off the skin and put it between two sheets of parchment paper and cook it in the oven for chicken skin crisps. It's a delicious snack! Eating this way is expensive so hopefully, it's worth it.
