We switched to Merrick Backcountry Pacific Catch from Blue Buffalo Wilderness Red Meat recipe. And originally Blue Buffalo Wilderness Large breed Puppy. We started on the blue puppy right from weaning. Then our puppy trainer informed us of possible skin allergies from chicken based food. So we went to the blue red meat formula. All was well for a couple months. Then the constant itching and scratching started. About 2 months ago after an exhaustive online search for food recommendations from breeders, and pet owners I settled on a fish based food. We chose Merrick Backcountry Pacific Catch. It has the high protein and nutrition my Pitbull needs. Its readily available at local pet stores. My boy absolutely loves it. About a month after switching to The Merrick Pacific Catch the itching and scratching has slowly diminished. Now 2 months later, the itching is completely gone. His fur is beautiful, shiny, and healthy. I'm glad we switched. My only gripe... His farts will peel paint from the walls, but it's a small sacrifice for his health. Customer for life.
