Zoomer Chomplingz, Hyjinx Interactive Dinosaur

The Zoomer Chomplingz - Hyjinx Interactive Dinosaur was a hit with my 3 year old and 5 year old grandsons right out of the box! Although the boys were a little disappointed at first that he didn't move on his own, Hyjinx has several different fun modes that more than made up for the initial disappointment. The wheels on the bottom of his feet allowed them to move him around as he chomps. The dinosaur is colorful, durable, well made, user friendly and easy to operate. Their favorite thing is the farting sound he makes when you push his tail down. You can pull his tail or push the dino for further sound effects. There is also a guard mode in which the Chomplingz will roar if there is movement detected near an object. He has several different modes that he can go into. He can play catch, he can sound warp and he can play games. The best game mode he can go into is Hot Hands. The boys love this mode, it is where he opens his mouth and allows you to put your finger in. Then he either bites down or pretends to bite down. If you move your finger before he chomps you win, but if he tricks you and you move your finger he wins. Cons: Requires three AAA batteries that are not included. The Zoomer Chomplingz does not roll well on carpet. There is no way to adjust the volume and he tends to be a little loud. It is top heavy and easily tips over. Overall, I think the Chomplingz is a great toy and I would recommend it for any young child.

This is such an adorable and fun dinosaur toy! My six year old son is really into this! Keep in mind that you will need 3 AAA batteries. The dino has sensors in the nose that can sense/detect movement. Its eyes also change color. It also has a sensor in the mouth to help it play fetch (a little bone that comes with it). That little bone is such an adorable little accessory and I hope my son doesn't lose it. If you wave your hand in front of the dino it can respond to your movement, also when you push it or pull its tail. It is almost like an independent little toy that doesn't require a whole lot from the child, almost making it like a pet. There are a couple different modes of play and one of them is called the guard mode. You put a toy or something in front of it and it will make a noise when someone gets too close. The toy or item has to be large enough for the dino sensors to see it. Such a fun feature! Its actually super adorable and my son "protects" his toys from his little sister. I really recommend this dino and want to get one for my three year old. She is old enough to have fun with it, too. If I could change something about this toy, it would be his head looks up too high. That makes it harder for the dino to see lower and makes for a slightly more challenging protective mode, for example. But its not really that big of a deal.
