Not for the home kitchen!

I purposely looked for trash bags that fit a 13-gal waste can, that could be tied up after removing from the can, this size 12-16 gal., is perfect, but these bags are "high density'" which you would think that means strong, especially with the description that is given, but that means they are thin, and these are really thin! My finger tore through the top of the bag when I tried to remove it from the waste can. The size is great, plenty of room, they are good for paper and light items in the office, but not the home kitchen. Look for "low density" bags for your home trash needs.
