First pellet smoker! Wow!

I've had this particular grill for three weeks and cooked three times on it. Amazing! I've always used gas grill. Gonna take some time to get steaks just the way I like, but taste is amazing. Love the ease of use. Wanted to buy a smaller cheaper version to go on my new deck, just to make sure I liked it. Planning on getting larger one if grill doesn't rust away like other grills. I do keep it covered when not in use even though it's a tough looking little grill! Lol! Looking forward to smoking a lot!

Overall an excellent grill

I bought this grill a week ago and have cooked on it every day since. I currently own a Louisiana Grill CS570 and have had it for 5 years but wanted something portable and smaller for camping and smaller cooks. First off it cooks very well, it's quick to get up to temperature, far quicker then my cs570 and seems to hold temperature ok. I love the smoke setting which was not an option on the cs570. My only two complaints with the grill is it seems to made of thinner metal then the Louisiana grills (I suspect to keep weight down for portability) and the lid is slightly warped and needs to be latched to seal completely. But these complaints have nothing to do with the operation on the grill. I recommend this grill to anyone needing a smaller portable grill.

The main reason I purchased this is for when I go camping heres is my input 1. Love the fact that it is a pellet smoker with 19lbs hopper, easy to transport, and width of the grilling service is great for cooking a fullsize brisket. 2. Improvements wish that the legs were detachable so that it can fit in my truck bed under the tonneau cover. The internal temperature is off by 15 to 25 degree. Ive been testing it at home so I can learn its functions. Ive used three probes the the rfx and smoke thermoworks and when I have it set to 300 it has me at 280 then it spikes to high 290s the temp costly changes throughout the smoke. Still with all that and alot of patience I am happy with my smoke it does take longer but still comes out good. 3. suggestions detachable leg so it fits under tonneau cover, easier way to clean the pellet ash detachable feature would be great, make the cooking surface a little widder, a probe hole would be great so it doesnt pinch able when close, improve temperature regulator, and finally drop price this is a really pricey item with flaws. I wouldn't recommend this product for main source of smoking meat and if you don't have patience. Also holding temp is all over the place like I mentioned above. Why I recommend In my case I like to smoke while camping and I like that its a portable pellet smoker with width. Pro to a vertical smoker.
