I've used this BBQ/smoker twice, and it's a great starter option. It only took about an hour to assemble, and yes, you'll need two people. It's a good size for feeding a family of six. However, after using it, I recommend considering the Austin XL. It has a larger barrel, allowing you to cook more food at once. Don't forget to buy a cover; you don't want moisture inside, which can cause rust. Don't underestimate this BBQ, though. It's a great value and gets the job done. I recommend buying an accessory for the side shelf on the right to hold your utensils and meat. What I also like about Pit Boss is the warranty. The Pit Boss warranty varies by product, but it's typically five years for grills and two years for griddles, starting from the date of purchase. 1) So far, I've cooked burgers, ribs, hot dogs, and drumsticks on it, and everything has turned out well. Here's some important information about smokers that you might not know: 2) When you use a smoker for the first time, it takes a while to prime the auger so it will feed the pellets. Every smoker is like this. Don't let the pellets run out, or you'll have to prime it all over again. 3) I recommend leaving the door open until the pellets start burning, then closing it.
