Pirelli W210 Snowcontrol Serie 3 Winter 195/55R16 87H Passenger Tire

Please note that I have not driven on the w210 tires since purchase. but I ws thrilled with the 190 predecessor tires and rate those here until I get some winter miles come nov/dec 2017. thus this more of a revies of Simple tire than of these Pirellis. I have had base model MINI cooper coupe & clubman models since 2006. Live in Upstate NY. currently drive a 2013 clubman. the MINI can be a great winter car with appropriate selection of winter tires. I started with Blizzak on our first coupe, certainly OK in the whitestuff, but I was less thrilled with their dry pavement behavior. when they were worn, I purchased a set of Pirelli snowcontrol 190s from Tirerack. they were an amazing all around cold weather tire. slight step down in heaviest snow from the blizzak, but offset by excellent handling on wet and dry cold condition roads. Bought a 2nd set of pirelli snow control when the 1st ones wore down. and intended to do the same this spring when the current set were not gonna be useful for 2017-2018 winter. seems that Pirelli snow control stopped being distributed in US for the MINI stock 15 inch size. till i found them on Simple tire. crazy fast delivery, great price. they are a newer/different tread design than the 190s, but I am going on brand faith with this purchase, that, and some other user reviews. Took the chance to media blast my steelies and repaint them after the new rubber came. they mounted fine, but i wont know for sure how they handle till the fall. very pleased that Simple tire could source these when no one else deemed to be able. come fall, I can give ratings for the new ones, but the 190s get high marks in all the listed categories from me.
