When connected to an iPhone 5 or newer, or compatible Android smartphone via USB interface cable and loaded with Pioneer’s free AppRadio application, you can enjoy full on-screen access and control of your contacts, calendar, maps. The intuitive interface is formatted and designed specifically for safer in-vehicle operation. Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Great Radio!
The AVH-500EX is a great DDIN touchscreen unit loaded with just about all the features you will ever want. I see someone left a bad review about the back up camera function and that is wrong. It functions as a back up camera display either he has the back up camera turned off in the settings or he wired it wrong. I suggest he have a professional take a look at how it is installed and check the settings. The back up camera is turned off by default and must be enabled to work properly.

rj there's a reverse wire in the harness it needs to connected to either the car wire of the same color usually green or tap the positive wire on your back up lights
