I have an outdoor kitchen that I use in the summer months. Being able to use the foot opener is going to be extremely helpful because you really need to keep the lid down due to food items you're tossing out. The hands free opening is awesome! Rubbermaid did this right. Very well constructed and I'm so happy I found this.
