LG 5.1.2 Channel Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos® and works with Google Assistant - SP9YA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the LG SP9YA soundbar for about 2 months now and have been very pleased. It has plenty of features for the price point and the sound is top notch, especially for streaming music and watching movies. And very much an upgrade over the TV speakers for everyday TV watching. Setup was pretty straightforward and by using the LG Sound app there's access to more features and sound equalizer. The Dolby Atmos and upfiring speakers make watching movies more immersive since I don't have the compatible surround speakers (yet!). The soundbar is sleek too with the metal grate around the speakers and no cheap plastic. Overall great package in this soundbar and wireless subwoofer and would recommend to others searching for a high quality soundbar at a reasonable price. The aesthetics and classy looks make this a stand out center piece for your entertainment system. Not only does it look good it also sounds great! The 5.1.2 speaker array really engulfs you in the movies, brining that next level sound into your home space. You can clearly make out the left, right, and rear sound coming from sound bar. The sound it creates rich tones, and deep bass during explosions. With the optional rear wireless speakers you can add even more dimension to the experience. But even with out rear speakers you get the full complement of Atmos and DTS:X sound without compromise. The Meridian Hi-Res audio is really something you can hear and feel. Music has never sounded so good, you can sit anywhere in your living room and get the impression of the music with out any distortion. The built in Alexa and Google assistance make this a center for home automation, allowing Alexa to control the TV, soundbar and all our smart home components. The built in Chromecast and Apple Airplay allow me to cast my music from anywhere in the house, and also link up to other Chromecast devices for a full party mode. This sound bar paired great with our LG 4k TV, using the single HDMI e-arc passthrough allowed for full HDR and Dolby Vision and seamless integration with the TV with out the need for multiple remotes. All in all this is the easiest set up for a soundbar and TV configuration, no complicated configurations or settings. Just singe e-arc port to HDMI and its ready to go. We are a big movie watching family, and with out the great sound to go with its just not the same, the LG SP9YA has surpassed our expectations and I would recommend it to any looking for the best sound experience a sound bar can offer.
