They were ink cartridges, and the original kind, not substitutes. It was also one item so it was hard not to screw it up. And it was cheaper by $10.00 WHICH WAS SIGNIFICANT.

Worth it

Saves a little money to buy all 4. But will start buying 220XL for black & continue buying the 220 for the colors because I use a lot more black than I do the colors. This ink drys quickly just as it says. A good buy.
