Very well made

I use it for small jobs around our home and keep it in the desk drawer. The clip is strong spring steel and will last the life of the tape measure. The tape itself is very sturdy and will go just under 10' before it falls. The markings are clear and easy to read. The case is a nice chrome. And best of all it has a lifetime warranty!

Excellent Product

I compared this HART tape measure with another tape measure that I already owned (see photos). The HART tape measure is 12 feet long and it is actually smaller than the cheap-o tape measure that I already had (12 feet vs. 6 feet). The HART tape measure is made out of chrome metal, instead of plastic. And the actual metal tape (with the numbers printed on it) is wider on the HART than on my other tape measure. SUMMARY: The HART tape measure is: 1. More compact, 2. Metal, not plastic, and has 3. Larger tape with easier-to-read numbers. This is a high-quality tape measure easily suited to all DIY projects you will encounter.
