Pine Mountain Traditional 3-Hour Firelogs, 6 pack

I didn't know what to expect…….but it all worked to my expectations, what ever that's worth. Every log has burned consistently good. The log itself burns nicely……add a log or two of seasoned wood and be well pleased……a solid 3 hours of burn time.

Even though they only last 2 hours and a few minutes in my fireplace insert, they work very fast, heat well, but not as much as oak logs, and ignite easily and fast. They help ignite other wood logs that may have not been ready for burning yet. The other day, I was low in wood and used three logs recently chopped (last summer) that started igniting and kept dying. After about 7 fire starters and 3 twigs, I decided to put a Pine Mountain 3-hour fire log in. It ignited well, but after a few minutes, it ignited the other three logs too, creating a huge and very hot fire. It grew so big that it scared me. It lasted the full 2 hours and heated the rooms to 74 F while the outside temperature was 23 F. I buy them mostly for the night. Normally I buy the 4-hour logs. So, I don't have to wake up so often.
