Every pen Pilot makes writes extremely well. This is about the best price I have found on this model. Shipping was very fast, and the pen arrived much sooner than expected. If you're new to fountain pens, you will want to buy ink. It comes with a cartridge of black ink, and a converter (model con20) for using your own fountain pen inks

Love my pen!
I love fountain pens. I purchased this to replace a handcrafted fountain pen that I just loved, but no longer worked. This is a really nice pen, writes nice, ink flows great and I love the medium nib. The pen feels food in my hand and I am quite happy that the lid, it just pops on and off, no twisting it on and off. I've only had the pen for a little over a week, but as long as it keeps on writing like it does right now, I can see no problems with this pen. I would definitely recommend this pen to another fountain pen enthusiast.
