Defective piece

Received this product a little over a week after ordering. Most of it was already assembled so it was pretty easy to put together till we got to the headboard and found that it was defective. We thought it would be a easy fix cause the room set was really pretty and we could send the defective piece and get a new one. Walmart would not take just the once piece back and said that the whole set would needed to be returned. They suggested that the manufacture may be able to help but the manufacturer said that since the product was purchased through Walmart. Walmart said they would return 10% of the price that wouldn't even be close to the price to buy a new head board. Word of advice if you buy this product don't throw away any boxes till you put all of the pieces together.
