I bought this case to put and store in my car. When I go to the pool or other places, I can put my wallet and keys in it and only take the single key for this safe with me. It could also be used as a safe for a concealed carry firearm when you are not allowed to carry concealed inside a store. The inside is basically a felt covered plastic piece on the top and bottom. It can be easily removed and foam inserted in its spot. There is a warning sticker under the plastic that says, "This product is not intended for secure storage of all materials. Items such as firearms , other weapons, combustible materials, or medication should not be stored in this unit."
