Superb recipe when recipe tweaked a bit
I purchased this and Dolly's canned buttercream frosting, also box of instant lemon pudding for the filling, flaked sweet coconut and lemon extract to flavor the frosting. I put the frosting in a bowl and re-whipped to with my electric hand mixer adding 2tsp. of lemon extract. Then I mixed in coconut. Made the pudding and spread it between two baked, cooled cake layers. Frosted the cake then topped with more coconut. Best cake ever!!!

This made a really delicious fluffy cake. The flavor is perfect. i used her buttercream frosting %26 it was the only canned frosting that doesn't taste fake. I usually make homemade buttercream. i covered the frosted cake with coconut. Everyone loved it. Yes i have purchased this again. If i could give it 10 stars i would! !

Sometime after Thanksgiving my aunt said that she wanted a coconut cake which was just slightly before I discovered the Dolly Parton line of foods %26 since I really love Ms Parton, I knew that I had to give it a try. The first thing that I tried was the frozen shrimp %26 grits, it was pretty good then I discovered the coconut cake milk and the butter cream frosting so I bought them and told my aunt that I have a surprise for her on Christmas and not only did the surprise go over well for my aunt but also my mom!
