I've had a Philips LCD TV for almost 10 years and have had zero issues. I recently needed to upgrade my computer monitors and had looked around for monitors that would meet my specific criteria, which were shallow base to sit as far back on desk as possible (main reason for replacement), Display Port input, 22"-24" screen size and at least 1920x1080 resolution. I came across these Philips 223S monitors and not only did they meet my criteria, they also have very slim bezels which were a bonus. So, I ordered three. My initial impression is that these look great. Letters are crisp, pictures look great, colors are awesome. I was also surprised to learn these monitors have a 4-year warranty, instead of the standard 1 or 3 years. They just keep getting better! And the price couldn't be beat. Not only did I reclaim a lot of wasted desk space, I got fantastic monitors as well. And I just found out that sound will come out of the built-in speakers through the Display Port connection only. Most monitors with built-in speakers need a separate audio connection. While no deep tones, they did sound pretty good for what they are.
