The PetSafe crystal litter system is far superior to the corn cob or clay type boxes I used before discovering this product. It is less messy, lasts longer between changes, better at controlling odors and all-around does a fine job in a messy business. The packs are very convenient. I have refillable permanent boxes also but I haven't yet run a cost-benefit analysis (it must save some $). I highly recommend this entire line of litter box products. I have three automatic boxes for my six kitties and have no plans to go back to the messy systems of old.

We have been buying this for about a year now and we love it. The lavender kills any cat odors shortly after the cat finishes his business. We also use the self cleaning cat box which has saved us a lot of time scooping and cleaning up after our furry friend.
