OK, first…deep breath, you two, repeat after us: "this is the process". Unfold a pad on floor away from your dog's food and bed with the grey plastic side down, white absorbent side up. Give your dog time to smell it (don't ask, that's how they do it). Give encouragement when they're using the pad (it's like a kid on a toilet, right?). Praise and reward with treats (it's a big moment for both of you!). Repeat. Deep breathing. Every few days, move the pad closer to the outside door (see where we're going with this?) and before you know it you can move the pad outside, which means it's time for both of you to celebrate!

Favorite pads!

These are our favorite puppy pads! My almost 6 year old min pin requires puppy pads daily. She is very spoiled and hates the outdoors when it's too hot, cold, or rainy. She also doesn't like to see strangers. Anyway, we used to buy hartz lavender and they were okay. These make our old ones look like garbage. They hold so much, she will actually use the same pad multiple times (she would not do this with any other brand). They don't stink either. I wish that they were cheaper but I wish that about almost everything recently.
