People's Parallel Bible KJV/NLT (Imitation Leather, Burgundy/maroon) (Hardcover)

I love having the KJV and NLT side by side to see how much if any the wording changed, and if it sticks to the KJV without deviating away from the Holy Inspired Word of God. It helps me to better understand what I just read. Great study Bible.

A very nice Bible with a soft leather binding and the pages having a pretty edging of gold. The binding is a nicely made and is a sturdy material, not true leather. It is quite possible that the "gold" gilding is simply an applied color of gold too. This makes the book very economical and was exactly what we wanted for an adult friend who was recently born again. Confessed his sins, repented, and turned to Jesus Christ as his Savior. I like that it is a true parallel Bible with the scriptures on the left side in KJV, and on the right side in the NLT. The NLT is more like a paraphrase rather than a translation. Perfect for any people that are want some clarification or understanding of a passage. A Bible called "The Defined Bible" is possibly better as it stays true to translations but takes unfamiliar words (which are in italics or starred) and then a simple meaning of the word is at the bottom of each page.
