Slim barrel is easy to hold while writing and drawing. Textured metal grip for added, precise control. HB hardness lead is equivalent to a No. 2 pencil. I bought this pencil for my grandson, starting him off in art with the best tools. I have several of these myself (.5, .7, .9mm) and this is absolutely my favorite drawing tool. With the fine point, not so great for large shading areas, but super for both detail or large strokes. Great control, and feels good in the hand.
