Really Nice Sketchbooks, Great Value!!

I'm a budding artist, at the tender age of 69. :) I am not rich but I have expensive taste...so im always looking for good value. I got these small sketchbooks for CHEAP...WOW!!! Such a bargain price, i bought three. so glad i did, they are wonderful. i love drawing portraits in graphite, and these beautiful pages are smooth and perfect for that. They are rated at 74 lb. Acid free paper. 4x6" size. I doubt the paper could handle real wet watercolor, but *maybe* a light dry brush technique would be tolerated. Not sure pastels would work on this paper as there is almost no "tooth" to it at all. Silky smooth hot press paper (it doesn't *say* hot press, but thats what it feels like.) Sketchbook has 160 pages. Comes with attached elastic strap closure, and has an attached bookmark ribbon. I HIGHLY recommend these, and be sure to keep watching for sale prices on these, and pick up several at a time!! (I am not getting any compensation from the company, i just love the product enough to take the time to let y'all know!!) BUY THIS!!! Five Stars!

Better than brands twice as pricy!

I've been searching for this sketchbook since I started drawing with pen and ink again, I just didn't know it until I found it! It has a soft, durable cover, the binding is sturdy, but flexible enough to allow a spread, and the paper is so much nicer than several pricier brands. The size is perfect for tossing in my bag to create anywhere. My Fude and fineliner pens glide across it with no feathering or bleeding whatsoever; I was able to blend my gel crayons well with a light wash of water with no buckling; I bought two because of the nice price, and my boyfriend (fountain pen aficianado) loves his as much as I do! I'm not sure about coloured pencil, graphite, or marker because I don't use them. It's perfect for my needs, and I'm a loyal customer for life!
