great if a way to separate from dirty bedding

these rocks work! however, you have to put the bedding on top of the rocks. cleaning the cage is impossible. How do you keep the rocks (good for 3 cleanings) from being thrown out with the bedding? i would buy more (started with 3 boxes for a big cage) if i didn't have to manually remove rocks from dirty, stinky bedding!
