Our cats destroyed the dust cover fabric on the bottom of our sofa and I stapled the cambric over it. Very lightweight but strong fabric. To deter the cats from again clawing on the dust cover, I cut up a dryer sheet, which they hate the small of, and folded strips of dryer sheet along the edge of the cambric before stapling the cambric in place.
