Instructions
Makes 10 to 12 pancakes. 1 cup mix, dry measure; 3/4 cup milk, liquid measure; 1 tbsp oil + 1 egg. 1. Heat skillet over medium-low heat or electric griddle to 375 degrees F. 2. Combine all ingredients and stir until large lumps disappear (do not beat or over-mix). Let stand 1-2 minutes to thicken. 3. Pour slightly less than 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto lightly greased skillet. Tip: For golden brown pancakes, use solid shortening instead of oil, butter, or margarine. 4. Turn when pancakes bubble and bottoms are golden brown. Tip: For soft and fluffy pancakes, avoid turning them more than once. To Open: Lift tab and pull. To Close: Tuck red tab in. Waffles: Heat waffle iron. Combine 1 cup Aunt Jemima mix, 3/4 cup milk, 1 egg and 2 tbsp oil; stir until large lumps disappear. For best results, allow batter to rest 4-5 minutes before baking. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto lightly greased waffle iron. Bake until steaming stops. Makes six 4 inch waffles.

I usually follow the instructions on the box but its easy to make. I usually eye-ball it. I use one egg, some milk, about 3/4 cup of Jemima mix to make about 3-4 pancakes. I like to add a mashed banana with cinnamon or peanut butter to the mix. Always cooks well. Just have your pan on level 6 before added cooking spray and your mix to the pan. Love to get crispy edges too. I use Jemima syrup only for her pancakes as well!

Aunt Jemima pancake mix is the best. Breakfast is always better with pancakes. You can make them thick or thin, crispy or fluffy by either adding more milk or less.

This was good to keep home for occasional rich breakfast. Yes, it has a few calories. The original (not the complete) is in my view better. But one has to have also ready some milk, an egg and a spoon of oil. It was my go-to when I came home from a long trip away. Get milk and eggs anyway and then decide what to eat. The brand is soon to disappear from the shelves. My assumption is that an alternative will be offered. Get and save a box of the original to compare when the new version comes out.
