Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 RAM 64GB (2X32GB) 3200MHz CL16 UDIMM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit - PVS464G320C6K

I bought this on Walmart marketplace because I was saving quite a bit and an added benefit was getting it faster. I've had this ram for about a year, I haven't been able to put my kit together until now. Ram doesn't expire on the shelf so keep that in mind. This had 1 bad ram stick and I think I know which one it was from when I opened the package, the heat spreader was detached but I was able to get it back on, I didn't force it so I'm certain I didn't damage the product. I purchased two kits for a total of 128g. I tried various ways to get this ram to post, using different channels, the stick alone and in other machines. I finally had to buy a new kit, not from here of course, and I installed that pair into its own channel. Everything works now. Effectively I paid for what I got. With 3 functional sticks and one bad one I didn't get the discount, but didn't lose either, except some sanity, and is why I put 2 stars instead of 1. Unfortunately the hassle I went through deserves some compensation without having to go through more hassle with returns but, you know, this was a year ago and I never return stuff no matter how expensive, I can't be bothered with the stress. I expect to lose, it's the cost of buying.
