Works great, had to charge for about 7hrs. My Mom has the same phone an she highly recommended it to me. I used her's while visiting her at her house, an I really liked it. Once our other home phones finally died, I purchased this one an I love it.!! Nice big buttons, back screen lights up, an you can see the numbers if you have to use it at night. That's especially good for me if I don't have my glasses on at night.! Lol. I would definitely recommend this phone to family/friends.

We have caller ID pop up on our television but the addition of the audible caller ID announcement with this system makes life that much easier. The usability of the handsets are only surpassed by the VISIBILTY--no need for your glasses with these units. The easy to read buttons and display are perfect for our more mature and experienced eyes. The sound is clear---even in speaker mode. If you are looking for a gift for anyone who would appreciate struggling a little less with something as overlooked as a landline--or if you are in the market to replace or to upgrade your own home phone system--you can not go wrong with this one. We could not be more satisfied with this purchase.

Exactly what I wanted.
This is my second set of Panasonic cordless phones. The first set lasted approximately 8 years and I had no problems replacing them since these phones are constantly used throughout the day. I was looking for two cordless phones with an answering machine and the most important feature I wanted was talking caller ID. This phone has it all and at, what I believe, was an excellent price. The phones are clear with good reception.
